The conversion of the a former elementary school, The Machon provides a mixed income senior multi-family residential community for 55+ residents.

Keith Construction worked with B’nai B’rith Housing to transform the original 1920 school building and replace an awkward mid-century addition with a new complimentary apartment wing.  Altogether, The Machon now provides 38 apartments in a single 3-story building with various resident common areas including a community room, screening/library, fitness center, and offices.  This redevelopment serves as a prime example of sustainable adaptive re-use to transform an historically significant building within the existing neighborhood for long-term preservation.
