Newcastle and Saranac are two properties located in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston that are both on the National Registry of Historical Buildings. Originally constructed as apartments there are a total of 97 total units steps away from the heart of downtown. Meticulous planning and coordination was undertaken with the historical consultant to bring both of these properties back to there former glory. Including new windows with historical panning and interior screens. Full restoration of stained glass transoms including replacing missing transoms with matching stained glass. Along with that, restoration and waterproofing were completed at the 7 Saranac copper bays and 5 Newcastle metal bays. Beyond the historical work, new DHW and heating boilers with Embue Systems were installed along with new roofs, exterior doors, FA and a new complete FP system. All the units were brought up to code and new finishes were installed throughout.
